I was under the car a few weeks back checking for rust, found a few surface areas that need a wire brush/encapsulation/paint over on underneath, but overall, no rust to be found, not bad for a 10 YO car.
What I did find that needs attention is the coating has been stripped off all 4 doors where Ford put the antichip paint. The metal surprisingly looks like what Zinc galvanized looks like when weathered. You can't tell just by looking at it since the paint covers the bottom roll before the coating is applied. I just need to find out what that stuff is so I can clean and reapply it when I do the underside. Being Kodiak Brown, I could just Herculine it, but if I get any above the roll, it will be seen even though the KB is really dark.
