Persistent Engine Issues in 2017 Ford Flex Ecoboost
Initial Problem and Repair
Wondering what to do with an issue I've had on going since the beginning of the year with my 2017 Ford Flex ecoboost.
I had extended warranty until May of 2024 and I got my car in for the check engine light coming on and a loss of power in the engine when accelerating causing the engine light to Blink until I turn the car off and restart the car.
Took the car in in February they replaced the two turbos they said were bad under warranty repair.
Additional Issue: Blue Smoke from Exhaust
Another issue my car had been having right before this was every once in awhile the first start of the day the car would blow light blue exhaust and it was significant and overwhelming.
I stress this to them they told me it was only the turbos.
Reemergence of Issues
Long story short we are now in October almost and I'm having the same issue with the loss of power and the blue smoke coming out of the exhaust every once in a while check engine light is steady on.
Diagnostic Experience at Dealership
I had it in the shop for Diagnostics last week they dicked me around for many hours I sat at the dealership for over 6 hours just so they could check it out.
They told me that I have 4 CO2 sensors and they replaced one in April the other three are all bad and need to be replaced and that's what the misfire is that's coming up on their scanner.
I have a copy of the paperwork they said there were five codes that came up.
Husband's Scanner Check
My husband checked this with his scanner when I got home and he only saw one code come up.
We are wondering if they are trying to get rid of me in a way? I did stress to them that I think this same issue I'm having could stem from the warranty repair they did back in February?! Now I feel like they're giving me the runaround they're wasting my time and they told me it's definitely not that even though the blue exhaust and smoke coming out of my car has never been dealt with.
Frustration with Service
They kind of just brushed that off and went back to the O2 sensors.
Seeking Expert Advice
Please if anybody has any insight into this I would greatly appreciate it!
Everything I've read about the blue smoke it could be head gasket leak that's where my brain goes every time I see it now.
I apologize for the length of this post. I attempted to organize it into topic-specific points.
Thanks in advance for any insight you may have.
