Hello all. I’m new to posting here, but reference articles routinely. If I’ve misposted in this location, I apologize.
I’m dealing with a p0430 perm that I cannot trace down.
I’m having little to no drivability issues, but live in an emissions state.
I have replaced up and down o2 on the bank, spark plugs, MAF, switched injectors across banks to see if the issue would switch sides (it didn’t). I’ve never had a misfire code or any other code that would indicate anything else in the system is malfunctioning.
Obd real time stats show me my LTFT is running at almost 11 percent on that bank at idle, with pretty consistent readings across both banks elsewhere. I’m not fully versed in deciphering all of this info and wonder if I’m missing something.
I took the car to a muffler shop nice enough to hook it up and not charge a diag to verify that the cats are working fine on both banks. 95 percent efficient and up at advanced RPM.
At this point, the only two things I can think of are an introduction of air somewhere making the system try to artificially comp, or the PCM is having issues.
Does anybody have any bright ideas on where to look next? I understand replacing a PCM isn’t all that hard from what I can gather, but programming and specifics are worrying there. Aside from doing all of the Intake manifold seals and seeing if that helps, I’m running out of ideas that don’t involve a dealership trip and diag that I can’t really afford right now.
Any direction would be appreciated.
Thanks all.
