Thanks for creating a great user's forum for a unique automobile. After 20 years I finally parted with my '04 Mountaineer (4.6L V8) and traded it in for a '19 Flex Ecoboost AWD with 44k miles. The Merc served two decades (144k miles) towing/snow driving/kid hauling and no small amount of "off-roading" (dirt roading) here in the Cascades of Pacific NW (Washington State). So far, nothing I'm missing other than maybe a couple inches ground clearance I worry I'll miss at some point, but I didn't really need for daily life. In return the Flex is a little bigger (longer, much nicer third row) and drives and tows like a dream compared to what the old "mutineer" had become. Its been a journey letting go of the past, but I'm now officially a Flex fan boy. More posts to come. And yes, I understand the Flex is out of production for six years now, but that's still considered new for me. Other cars 2020 Mustang GT and 2017 Lincoln Continental. So the Flex is the middle child.
