Looking for a Flex as a service vehicle for my business...Flex has all the room I'll need.
Is there any rhyme or reason for the water pump? Through my research about these cars, it almost seems like the people that get the dreaded water pump leak/fail are the ones that don't get used often...including a friend of mine. Also read about people with a bunch of miles and original pump.
I ask because I'm looking right now at a 2017 NA AWD limited with 115k and 2013 NA FWD SE with 88k...both priced the same, $8500. Both look clean and well taken care of from pics. I wouldn't normally go for less miles but it got me thinking when comparing the two.
Any recommendations on what to look for to rack up miles on? I definitely want NA. AWD is nice and would probably come in handy in the snow but not a must. Rather keep simplistic if possible for less to go wrong...NA, FWD (but sounds like AWD isn't troublesome if youchange fluid every 30k). No matter what I get, antifreeze would be changed and changed to yellow no matter what it has as well as change fluids in differential and PTU if it is an AWD.
