Ok, looks like Freedom Racing has a too for this. It's a general purpose handle (ST-214 for the "generic", and 205-153 for "OEM"), and an adapter specific for the Ford Flex FWD CV axel seal (307-582A or 307-582AU with the second part# being sourced from a "shop" and is therefore called used... and is cheaper). I haven't ordered them yet, but after getting the 205-882 and 205-883 in the mail and opening them up and thinking "how the hell is this supposed to work", the above tools look EXACTLY like I would expect them to look to install that seal (and look similar to the tool i made out of PVC, which ultimately didn't work that well because I didn't know the correct depth).
Once I get the tool in, I can come back and post the dimensions and show the tool I made out of PVC. Standard PVC pipe and fittings work almost perfectly so long as you cut the pipe with a chop saw and ensure that the cut is perpendicular to the axis of the pipe AND so long as you know the correct depth of the seal. Let me know if you're interested in those measurements and/or PVC tool instructions.
