Exterior & Detailing • Amber Rear signals

I hate the brake/turn combo. This is what I’m thinking. I plan on modifying the rear lights by tapping into the trailer wiring. Adding an amber led in the reverse housing, or changing that bulb to a white/amber switchback.(flashes amber when pulse signal, turns white solid when constant power(for reverse)).
Need to use a resistor so the cem thinks the tail lights are still working, but they’ll be controlled/powered by the trailer wiring. This will allow me to keep the factory brake functions red but separate out the amber turn signal that will fill the clear reverse light housing.

I’ll get around to doing this, I have to replaced my drivers keypad first though and I’m procrastinating on that. As far as I know no one has attempted this. Feel free to try it first and report back.
