Good evening, I'm a forum nubbie...so I've been reading all the no start posts for the MKTs and trying to decide how to properly word this post so here goes. I recently bought m 2010 MKT from an auction with no key(aw shucks, bad move man, sucks to be you dude, etc...), but I had a plan when I did it...after all; how bad could it be right?...WRONG!! Dealer said (You have the key code?...ugh, no..."well you're gonna need a locksmith to get the key code because we don't keep key codes for vehicles over 10 years old"..well that sucks! 3 locksmiths later..."I'll have to order the remotes which may take a week or more because I don't trust everybody else's remotes because they may have been refurbished, but may still be locked to the previous car, and I don't like getting burned--not getting paid because I couldn't program the remotes."
So, is it possible to swap out a newer MKT remotes, immobilizer, and related parts since it seems like getting my remotes programmed is turning out to be a hassle?
