Dang, I obviously don't have a single upgrade suggestion but I would like to thank you very much for posting a killer alternative to the normal suspension upgrades like H&R's/coilovers!Here's my current setup -
Monroe Heavy Duty Police Interceptor front struts
Motorcraft Police Interceptor front upper strut mounts
Monroe Police Interceptor front strut bellows kits
Monroe Police Interceptor front lower coil spring isolators
Monroe Heavy Duty Police Interceptor rear shock absorbers
Moog front lower control arm assemblies with ball joint
Moog front and rear sway bar links
Motorcraft front inner and outer tie rod ends
Motorcraft rear tie rod assemblies
BC Racing rear coil springs
BC Racing rear coil spring height adjusters
Timbren SES rear load leveling kit
Energy Suspension front and rear bar bushings
265/35/22 Continental DWS-06 tires, 22x9 Asanti ABL-31 Regal satin bronze wheels, and black spline drive lug nuts (summer setup)
235/60/17 Blizzak WS-90 tires, 17x8 ET35 Drag DR-31 white wheels, and black hex lug nuts (winter setup)
It ended up lowering the front about 1.5" and the rear about 3.5" after everything settled in from stock height. Rides nice and comfortable, but still "sporty" with a lot less nose drive and body roll over stock. Loaded up with 4 people, roof box, hitch cargo carrier, and all our gear it only ends up sagging about 1" in the rear. The summer setup handles very nicely and rides surprisingly smooth for a lower profile tire on a larger vehicle, and the winter setup clears the HD stock brakes but absolutely does amazing in the snow.
I would say besides the slight sag in the rear when loaded up, and that you need to be careful going over steep driveway approaches to not catch the center resonator or hitch, I'm very happy with it. I'm unsure if I would want to really go any lower at this point, especially when loaded up, and air suspension won't work for this vehicle since it's driven in the winter and I've dealt with frozen lines and blown bags in the past on other vehicles. I'm curious to hear from others on their setups as far as ride quality, rubbing/bottoming out issues, suspension rebound noise, and cargo carrying ability, or if there are any suspension upgrades/setups that have come out that I don't have.
Thanks!
