For a couple-three weeks now I've been noticing an occasional grinding/vibration on low speed turns. Crops up mainly in parking lot or stop-sign situations, where I'm making a sharp turn from a stop or while applying a little (but not much) power (just enough to get underway). Feels like I would expect a drivetrain bind to feel (kind of like if you forgot to take your truck out of 4x4 when you get back on pavement). It's very low-frequency and rough, not audible at all but very much present in the steering wheel. And it only seems to happen when the car is warmed up and has been driven a good handful of miles; road-testing today there was no problem when the engine was cold, and no problem when the engine temp first got to normal range, and finally a hint of it after about ten miles of driving (including a few on the freeway). Then of course it got worse as I was arriving back home....anybody have any ideas what this could be? I'd like to have some ideas (and be a little more able to replicate it) before I go visit my mechanic. Had the car up on ramps, and the CV boots and steering boots look fine.
