Hello everyone.

As many of you know as it's been discussed many times, MDesign makes the best designed intake kit for us Ecoboost owners. (Please correct me if im wrong here.) However it seems many of you had problems ordering the intake from the website hell I even reached out to him to buy a kit and it's been over a month with no response.

So I went into research mode.

I actually discovered that I live two cities over from the registered owner of the corporation. So on a sunday drive this past week, I stopped by. And I don't want to hear comments like oh why'd you do that and this and that blah blah I literally just wanted to find out what happened to the guy I mean he had a good product, best case scenario I was going to ask him if he would give up his supplier. Anyways, his family sold the house in 2021, and he no longer lives in the state. No social media accounts, dude just vanished. It should also be noted that M design performance LLC, the registered Corporation with Michigan is not in good standing as of 2019 so please do not send that website your money you will just lose it.

There is a good side to this story so bear with me.

My father is an engineer for Bosch Automotive, so I emailed him the link to the kit and he got back to me within 2 hours with literally the exact same enclosed filter element part that MDesign uses. The rest of the kit is just generic hoses and hose connectors that you can get at any auto store

Long story short my father and I have replicated the kit from MDesign, with the exception of one part, and that's where I need your guys help. Its a custom CAD designed piece that my father and I are going to replicate and see if we can have made. Its the first piece at the very front of the intake that bolts up to the front of the car, secured by a hose connector.

Do any of you have an M design kit that you are no longer using that is available to purchase for research purposes? I need the measurements on that piece my dad wants to scan it three-dimensionally to see what can be done. Any help is appreciated and again I will purchase it not asking for it for free. My overall goal is to hopefully put his design back into production somehow. And I will gladly send a few prototype kits off to members that help me with this for some unbiased dyno readings free of charge.

It should also be noted on the MDesign website that a patent is pending for that product, however I reached out to the US patent office, and no such patent was even applied for nor exists for any M design product.

So what do you think guys? Am I wasting my time with this? Or is there a demand for this kit still?
