I'm having two problems at the same time and not sure if they are connected or if I should start working my way down the solution list for each.
No key detected pops up everytime I sit in the car and try to crank it, I have to use to FOB to relock lock the car, then it will crank. "No Key Detected" pops up intermittently while driving and also when my son gets out of the passenger seat at school, and the car honks twice. We had one FOB replaced, then realized that wasn't the problem, so we replaced the battery in the other FOB, and the problem persists. The main battery in the vehicle was replaced about a year ago. Sometimes when I get home from driving and turn the car off, I get the message "Restart now or key required". Still unsure what that means.
Around the same time this started, the power liftgate has started to open about half way then beep then stop. If I manually open it, then load the car, then press it to close, it closes about half way then stops. We took the struts off and couldn't move them, so they seem strong. The liftgate motor/assembly was replaced about a year ago. Unsure if this is a sensor issue, or if I have an electrical gremlin.
