So I got the dreaded power liftgate will stop opening or closing issue. Best price I found was as TascaParts, total shipped and tax $201, part number DA8Z-14B351-A
So i have no patience when it comes to interior plastic trim parts. I did watch a youtube the other day on how to remove it. But the part came today and i wanted to get it installed after dinner.
So i broke the plastic tabs and pins on the front taking it out with my pry tool and barbarian hands.
I was looking for used on eBay but got it new for $30 shipped from some other Ford dealer. Tacsa wanted $10 to ship vs $5 and the other dealer it was a bit cheaper.
I also went ahead and got some butyl tape from Amazon as well, I had none and thought if I could not find the part cheap I would use that to stick it down. I figured it would be good to have either way.
The good news is with the new actuator installed the lift gate fully opens and closes now.
Part number for future reference DA8Z 74310C06-AA
