Hey folks so ive been "dealing" with an issue of a no crank no start on my 2013 ford flex W/O IA 120k miles. The issue started with my ignition switch shorting to the frame from a antitheft device (aftermarket) that had been removed. When the fuse blew none of the lights worked except some random accesories. Fixed the wire replaced the fused and the cluster lit up but still wouldnt start with the key. The vehicle was starting with the remote start switch for about a week after and then just quit. The vehicle starts up and runs perfect if i jump the starter relay so i assumed the starter is good. I checked the PCM at the pin coming from the ignition switch and it gets good power. I checked continuity between the pcm and thee starter relay while disconnected and they read <1 OHM. I no power at the control side of the relay but have a good potential to ground. I had taken it to a shop but they were no help and were trying to play me for a fool by putting a jumper wire on the starter relay which killed my audio control module. I have no codes anymore at first i had starting system fault but now its not popping up anymore. I replaced the ignition switch.
