Yeah, it turned out to be the sending unit. The baffle failed, and oil was making it to the connector and I guess fouling it. Oil was also leaking out the connector and dribbling all the way to the pan.
Replacing it was simple but way more difficult than should have been. I figure I could have done it no slower in a parking lot in the dark since I was doing it all by touch anyway.
I can't imagine how this could be done with an Ecoboost and all the IC piping in the way.
