Got the dealer's multi point inspection video today, they finally got the vehicle in. Tech stated, "I noticed your coolant was a little low, (jug was completely empty, BTW) so I filled it up. Keep an eye on that. I didn't find a leak. I couldn't replicate the HVAC concern you had but a lot of times when you re-program the HVAC module it takes care of that."
Now, if the coolant jug was completely empty and you didn't see a leak, and you'd just serviced and replaced the coolant 2-3 months ago, wouldn't you look around to see where it could have gone? All that coolant went somewhere in a few months.
Granted I told the Service Advisor all this and apparently he didn't write it into the service order because he called me later and said "what else did you tell me you wanted us to look at?"
So, I'm going to have to advocate for them to actually figure out what's going on. I called them back and said I wanted to make sure they've ruled out a water pump, head gasket, or anything else that could cause more damage.
