General Ford Flex Discussions • Re: years for features

Lots of cool safety and driver assistance features on the limited model. My 2014 limited has adaptive cruise if you mean “radar” based cruise control that automatically adjusts my speed to the speed of the car in front and maintains the car spacing. Someone cuts into my lane, my car slows down and sets the speed as required to reestablish the car gap. It works great. It also has radar brakes, meaning it triggers a warning if I’m approaching a car too quickly and it arms the brakes for aggressive stopping, it will not apply the brakes though but it is impossible to miss the visual and aural warning. It also alarms if I’m backing up and any person or car is behind or on the side of my rear end. Has blind spot warning and warning if I’m changing lanes and there is a car in the blind spot. Also the second row seat seat belts have integral air bags built into them.

You are right, no car play on mine.

For features you can find the sales brochures for each year on line on Ford.com and they break out the features. The Flex was feature advanced/loaded for its time especially in the limited models.
