Powertrain / Under The Hood • Eager New Owner, PTU/Maint help

Hey everyone,
Recently purchased a beautiful 2014 SEL AWD with tow package. It was well maintained, garage kept, etc. A week after purchasing, had the sun roof leak down the C pillar, so dropped the liner, cleaned the lines and saw the clog of pollen and pine needle (Maryland) in the tray, removed all debris no biggie. Drove from Maryland to Florida for our move, the day after arrival at the in-laws I noticed a small leak spot (Maybe 1 to 1 1/2in) that was dark. I had the multi inspection fluid refill oil change deal done from a ford dealer before the drive down, so i didn't believe it to be engine oil. Checked the stick, nice clean golden color so safe there. Looked under the car on ramps, the PTU casing and below exhaust area were covered in a very dark grey/black wetness. Removed the skid, figured ill dry it all off and see if i can trace the leak. No luck, didnt start again that day. next day drove it 10-12 miles to see if it would start again, no luck. I plan on doing the ptu oil change anyway to be safe, but how much of an issue is the leak? It wasn't a heavy leak, but i dont like the leak in general. If i find the leak can i just repair/patch it up or is that the sign the PTu is on the way out?
Lastly, theres a weird popping noise lately if the tires are turned while not moving or driving slow. After some trouble shooting its the front coils that are making these sounds, almost like they are pressed against metal while turning or something. Any possible ideas? I feel like maybe it was the wrong size of coils placed (replaced in 2022 according to Carfax) but this sound didnt exist until arriving in Florida.
Many thanks for any help. Iv'e been doing my share of browsing but havent seen anything definitive to what I was looking for.
