Just killed a fairly new set (about 12 months in operation, all spring-through-fall since I run winter tires in the winter) of Vredestein Hypertracs. Part of the problem was alignment issues, but I'm also just not impressed with how they held up - the fronts from last year wore unevenly and are trashed due to alignment issues, but the other ones are evenly worn but nearing end-of-life. So I'm trying to identify a good set of tires that won't be compromised for winter use (i.e. they'll give up snow performance in favor of grip, ride and treadwear) and will also hold up well to abuse from abundant dirt-road usage (due to where I live). Any ideas? (I'm also going to add quarterly alignment checks because of my roads, but need new tires this week).
