I've had this vehicle for 3 days and have tried repeatedly to get my phone connected to the Bluetooth. (EDIT)This is not a system with GPS - it does have a working compass, but other than that, it appears that everything works through Bluetooth. I have an iPhone 15 and it just seems like there is no way to get it to link up. I like the car/SUV, whatever this thing is - but, being able to hook up the phone is a significant issue for me. I wonder if the phone is just too new for this system that dates back to 2011. I would appreciate hearing opinions on whether or not this might be the case.
I'm gonna drive this for a while to figure out any underlying mechanical issue that might be lurking. But, if it turns out to be a dependable rig, I am wondering if there is a way to get the Bluetooth updated or get a new system installed. The radio works well, although I no longer listen to the radio - too many commercials and can't find a station I like.
I don't necessarily wish to replace the entire system if I don't have to. I just want to be able to hook up the phone so that I can play music and use the phone. Is there a way to do this without breaking the bank?
Thanks in advance for your replies.
