I know this is an old bump, but I am about to de chrome and black out my silver flex. Are the tail lights plastic welded? I am assuming not as you said you baked them. I haven't done lights in about 10 years. Last one I did was my 05 Cobalt SS and I painted the housing gold. I dont know if I want to leave the chrome small strip and just do the the center grill or do it all. My handles are scratched so I am doing those. If you could give me any pointers on the tail lights I would greatly appreciate it.
