2018 Flex AWD Limited, Non-Turbo.

I read a bunch about this, did it with 160,000 lady driven km on the clock (it's my wife's daily).

I removed the passenger front tire. It was pretty easy to get about 24" worth of extensions onto the 3/8" square drain plug.

I used a oil pump/extractor, cheap Amazon unit. Used the 1/4" inlet tube that came with it to drain the PTU and RDU through the fill plugs, and used the 1/2" one to fill back up. I did have pump lower for draining, and elevated for pumping back in.

I was happy with how the fluid looked coming out of both, amber and flowed ok. I got what I expected out of the PTU, maybe 14 of the 18 ounces it mentioned? I'm sure some burned off or congealed inside. I'll do this again before winter, when the wife will have put another 10k or so on the clock.

The RDU was interesting, as I had noticed some low moaning sounds from the rear occasionally, typically when slowing and making a right or left turn onto another street. I didn't get much out of it, maybe about 10 ounces. It took about 30 topping it up, I think it was low. I'll be listening to it and monitoring oil level the next couple changes. If all is well I probably wont touch it for 50,000km.

I used Lucas Synthetic 75W140 in the PTU and Valvoline Synthetic 75W90 in the RDU.
