Most modern car batteries that get drained below 11 volts will never charge properly again. I once switched the headlight switch to parking lights so as to not disturb neighbors as I pulled in the driveway. For some reason, the parking lights are not connected to any alarms when left on. Now, I make sure to always hit the lock button on my key fob to make sure all lights are off. Also, I believe that 14.25 to 14.55 is the normal charging range. Below that could result in a battery drain. The battery testing units at ORileys and Autozone don't tell the true story. My battery was 6 months over the warranty and tested as good, but left my wife with a non starting Flex a few days later. I only buy the sealed absorbed glass-mat (AGM) batteries. I found one on Amazon from a USA maker and it has been working perfectly. I was able to add a 3year warranty. So, 6 years total. Most car batteries are now made in China or Mexico.
