Not going to take a chance this far from home, and the local dealership won't render an opinion either way, so it's spend $1,900 and fix it ( plus the tow ). Bad part is if there would have been room to get under it, I would have pulled it and give it a shot on a short drive and made a call back to the mechanic I talked to back home. But he was off for the day, so in the end I just forked over the money and got on down the road.
