I experienced the same issue. My problems started after a water pump failure and a recommendation to replace the timing. Essentially the valve cover had to be replaced and a bolt was stripped. After the repair I experience power loss and an obvious noise once I was above 40-60 mph. Then my first turbo failed a month after i had the power loss checked and it was diagnosed to oil starvation. 1 month later my car showed an oil warning light, and at the oil change it was half a quart low. Add another month and the second turbo failed. Metal in the oil pan and concerns of engine damage. A second and third certified ford dealer/service center advised to only replace the turbo, cat converter, and intercooler. After that repair the first turbo failed again. After that repair the second turbo failed again. Now the 2nd and 3rd dealer both say an engine is needed. I am of the opinion the valve cover issue caused damage either with a seal or gasket that slowly led to the issues with the turbo. Replacing turbos did not solve the underlying issue.
