Hi all, new to the forum.
Have a 2019 Flex AWD with 165K kms (103K miles). I’ve owned two Flexes, a 2009 AWD Limited and the present one. Flexes aren’t my favourite ride, but they’re fine for voyages and utility.
On the present model (2019) during the first 3 years 3 sets of tires wore out. Neither of the two dealers could figure out why. A GM dealership performed the last alignment which now has the tires wearing normally.
Presently a driveshaft u joint failure has me now replacing the shaft. This is being done next week by a trusted independent mechanic.
What could lead to a driveshaft failure with 103K miles of use? What else should be examined if the driveshaft is only a symptom of a presently unknown driveline problem?
