Well, you can bite the bullet and pay for the labor, or you can get some Monroes for the front and Gabriels for the rear and install them yourself. The Monroes are fully loaded, all you do is swap them out. These can be had from Rockauto for about $400 shipped. Or you could buy a set off Amazon for just under $250, but they are china named. I put a set on my 2007 RAV4 and they are rock solid, but I don't know how long they will last, May last longer than the car.
The rear shocks, the hardest part is getting the cubby out from the side trim without breaking the tab off. Pretty simple, pull the wheel, disconnect the upper sway bar link nut, unbolt the shock bottom bolt then unbolt the top nut.
The fronts are just as easy, one sway bar nut, two lower bolts, and the ABS wire, then 4 nuts on top, and slide it right out. To set camber, use a smart phone with the measuring tools, there should be a level in there. Set the camber by placing the phone against the rotor with the wheels straight ahead and set it to -1 to 0 and tighten the bolts to the spindle. The preferred camber is -0.8.
I just did this on my 2014 with 172k on it. Have a set of tires on order, next Friday they do the rear toe link recall so they will do a full alignment under the recall as well. The only part questionable is the passenger lower control arm rear bushing, it looks OK, but some rubber has flaked off the outside.
