2019 Ford Flex Limited, with Sync3.
I recently updated Sync from 3.0 to 3.4 using CyanLabs Syn3 Updater, and I have read that updating the APIM firmware unlocks additional features, like higher SiriusXM Channels.
As the screenshot below shows, my APIM module calibration level currently is JR3T-14G371-CJG, and the latest version available inside Forscan is JL7T-14G371-CCK. This is 2 version levels higher than my current version, and I don't know the implications of going from a JR3T calibration level to a JL7T calibration level.
Is updating the APIM firmware pretty straightforward? Will this in fact unlock additional features? I was able to confirm during my Sync update that my APIM was not a 2020+ module, if that makes a difference.
