My 2010 Limited Flex has had this issue several times. I found driving quickly in reverse to be the free fix to the high-pitch, metal-on-metal squeal as it dislodged the rock or other foreign body between the breaks and rotors; sadly, on Thursday, July 18, 2024, I replaced both of the struts, strut links and a wheel alignment all done by my reputable mechanic. I have not been anywhere near pea gravel, etc. Today, on the way home from work (approximately 40 kilometres), I had to listen to the horrid noise for the entire ride, and driving in reverse has done nothing to remedy the issue.
Does anyone have thoughts on what the noise could be if it is not a rock or a rotor deglazing issue?
